This time scale is due to the fact that unit movements, unit production, building construction, and research to unlock and improve units can take real time hours or even days to complete. The game is played in real time, meaning that each "match" of the game, ranging from 26 to 101 players depending on the scenario selected, is guaranteed to last several weeks if not in excess of a month or longer. The land, the air, and the sea are all your battlefield in Iron Order 1919, as you fight across scenarios ranging in scale from a single continent to the entire globe in hopes of becoming the dominant power of the land. Flying fortresses, elite commando squads, island sized aircraft carriers, light tanks, walking battleships, and firestorms sweeping through cities and armies alike.
